A 26-year-old IT employee was killed and his friend injured when the motorcycle they are riding lost control and collided with a parked car in HSR Layout on Saturday night.
The deceased Akshay,native of Kerala and residing in HSR Layout was returning home late in the night with his friend Ameez,27,when the accident occurred .
Senior officer told reporters Akshay was riding in rash and negligent manner while it was raining and the duo was not wearing helmet,an autorickshaw driver who witnessed the accident said.
The duo in a bid to overtake the autorickshaw lost control and collided with a car parked on the roadside with parking indicators on,outside an apartment .
Due to the impact the duo thrown away from the bike and crashed on the road. Passers-by rushed the duo to a private hospital where Akshay Succumbed to his injuries an hour later .
The injured Ameez was recovering and said to be out of danger.The HSR Layout traffic police have registered a case of death due to negligence and rash and negligent driving against Akshay and awaiting post mortem report to ascertain whether the rider was intoxicated or not .
In another incident,a 32-year-old fashion designer working in a private firm was killed on the spot and the bike rider injured when an Hydraulic trailer driving against one way knock down the bike they were riding on Chanasandra main road in the wee hours of Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Vyshali Patel from Gujrat and the rider Hemaraj escaped from minor injuries.
The duo was returning home from a friend’s house when the accident occurred .
The Whitefield traffic police have arrested the truck driver,Sunil charging him under death due to negligence and booked the owner of the truck for further investigations.
