Abhijit Ray, Kolkata.A large number of weapons were recovered from the Bengal-Jharkhand border again. In addition to the recovery of weapons, two persons were arrested in the operation of STF of State Police in Salanpur of West Burdwan. The STF has prepared a seizure list of several firearms, including one-shotters, pistols, cartridges. Investigators suspect that the weapons were being brought from Bhagalpur and Munger. Before that, there was renewed panic in the incident of recovery of weapons from Bihar Road in Rupnarayanpur area of Salanpur (Salanpur) border of Bengal-Jharkhand. Several questions were raised about security. A team of STF conducted a raid on Bihar Road in Rupnarayanpur, Salanpur after receiving a tip-off. - Besides, a total of 35 rounds of cartridges
2 people were arrested by STF while carrying weapons. Their names are Chhotu and Balaram. It is assumed that they were being brought from Munger and Bhagalpur in Bihar.It was smuggled into the state through Chotu-Balram. But the investigators are desperate to know where the weapons were supplied. A case has been filed against them in Salanpurpolice station. They will be produced in the Asansol court today.Already, the ‘Mungeri’ arms business is long-standing in this state. This traffic increases at various times especially before elections.
