KSRTC staff Saves lives in most challenging times.

the recent unheard heavy rains,towns and villages submerged in water,highways flooded and people’s lives disrupted,KSRTC bus crew faced the most difficult challenge in their service.

Senior,PRO,of KSRTC said in a release,On 29.08.2022,Mysore -Bangalore highway was literally flooded.Ramanagar town totally inundated.

KSRTC bus, number bearing KA42-F0502 was plying from Uragahalli to Ramanagara town.The bus was when moving to cross Ramanagara railway underpass bridge,got caught unaware in the rain water and got submerged.

A little in front,another private vehicle broke down, KSRTC bus could not move on further.

KSRTC bus crew Mr.Lingaraju,Driver Cum Conductor.Badge No.2621 and Venkatesh, Driver cum Conductor Manager.

Badge No.2863 Ramanagara Depot,Ramanagara Division,who were operating the Uragahalli – Ramanagara service had not only to save their lives but had the task of saving Passengers lives.

With water level increasing,despite both not knowing to swim,took the most difficult decision in their lives.

They bravely risked, called on the local help of Public and rescued all their passengers including an old woman.

Today on 05.09.2022, both the crew met the Managing Director at KSRTC head office and narrated the incident.

Being both non swimmers and water rising, they told Managing Director about the disturbing situation and their decision to take on the nature fury to save the passengers lives who were stuck in their bus.

They also thanked the Public and the Passengers who were united in saving the lives.They also informed Managing Director on about both being lost their mobile phones being damaged in the water and also on their position of not contacting the officials in the harrowing condition.

Managing Director Mr.V.Anbukkumar, congratulated the drivers and appreciated on their excellent work ethic.

He said their decision and completing the difficult task is an example and inspiration to others.

Since,personal mobile phones of the crew was damaged while being on duty,both of them were given a smart mobile phone as a token of gesture by the Corporation.

Managing Director also presented a letter of appreciation to the Ramanagar Depot crew in the given circumstances stating that the service attitude of the crew in the humanitarian field,
