Alert police team from Indiranagar police station caught a 43-year-old Bangla national moving suspiciously with Aadhar card on Friday.
Senior officer told reporters,Based on a tip off,a team of police rounded up Alameen on the suspicion that he was peddling drugs,but instead they recovered a mobile phones with several contact number of Bangladesh registered.
Upon questioning,Alameen confessed that he is from Barisal Division of Bangladesh crossed porous border illegally with family 10 years ago and settled in Delhi before moving to Bengaluru.
The accused said that he was living in migrant colony in Kadugodi with family and working under a BBMP contractor for the last eight years and even got the Aadhar card done.
The Police have booked the accused under foreigners act and passport Act and further investigating to ascertain the source of the Aadhar card.
Earlier the Bommanahalli police on Tuesday conducted a raid at private enrollment agency situated in Hongasandra on Begur main road and booked three persons including the owner and a private doctor for getting the Aadhar for Bangla migrants for a price of Rs.2,500 per card.
Based on a tip off from Internal Security Division, a team of police led by Kusuma S,PSI roped in a private person identified as Riyaz for a sting operation.
Riyaz approached,Praveen,owner of a SSB Communication with a request for a Aadhar card without submitting any required documents.
Praveen took Rs.2,500 and assured to get him the card within a week.
As per the deal he filled the form with fake detailed and changed his name to Haneef,son of Nazeer,resident of Hongasandra and even gave a fake date of birth to January 1,2001.
Praveen sent Riyaz to the house of a retired Dr. Sunil D Inchal residence in JP Nagar for attestation .
After the attestation,Riyaz was taken to Aadhar verification centre in Meenakshi Mall on Bannerghata road and got the biometric procedure done with the help of his contact who worked as operator at the verification centre.
After the completion of formality,Praveen told Riyaz to get the Aadhar card from his office in one week.Following which Riyaz came and reported the matter to ms.Kusuma.
After successful Sting operation,the team raided the shop and booked the owner and the doctor and operators and others charging them under cheating and forgery for further investigations.
