he Southeast Division police of Begur police have arrested a 27-year-old architect and three of her male friends for beating her live-in-partner to death for uploading her private photos on instagram.
The accused has been identified as,Pratibha,and her associates as,Goutham,Sushil,and Surya.
Senior officer told reporters,a complaint was registered by deceased relative based on complaint special team was formed to investigate the case under the supervision of ACP,Sudhakar,a team headed by PI,Anil Kumar HD and his team swung into action.
The team visited the spot and after inspecting the spot and after collecting technical evidence the team picked up Prathiba for questioning and during interrogation the team got suspecious on her behaviour and statement and for further investigations they arrested her and took her into custody and grilled her who spilled the beans and confessed to the crime and based on her statement the trio male friends of her were also arrested.
During investigation it was found she even tried to escape putting the blame on her friends,but the investigations revealed that she is the prime accused and conspirator of the crime.
Pratibha worked in a private firm along with her friends Goutham,Susil and Surya was living in with N Vikas for the last one year at a rented house near Udupi garden.
Vikas who completed his MBBS course in Ukraine worked as doctor at a private hospital in Chennai before shifting to city to pursue certified course and stayed with Pratibha.
The duo had live-in relationship and both the families are aware about this and decided to get them married in February this year.
However Pratibha came to know that Vikas has created a fake ID on instagram and uploaded her private photos using the fake id.
Enraged by this Pratibha roped in his three friends from office to teach him a lesson and the trio on September 10,came to the house and had a heated argument with Vikas.
In the melee the trio attacked him with a floor mop and water bottles before taking him to a near-by hospital for treatment and later shifted him to st.Johns where he succumbed .
A detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that Pratibha had even called Vikas elder brother Vijay informing him that Vikas had a fight with her friends over trivial row and injured in the melee and admitted in the hospital.
Vijay reached the city and filed a complaint with the police.Based on the complaint the police arrested the accused charging them under murder and other sections and are investigating further.
