Five people including social media cell head of the congress party were arrested in connection with the PayCM poster campaign.
The CCB along with the Sadashiva Nagar and High grounds police stepped up investigations based on the directions of the CM and arrested B R Naidu,heading social media cell and others including Pawan,Gagan,Sanjay and Vishwanath .
A total of 5 were arrested and the procedure is being done.Apart from these five members another three members were detained for questioning and have been booked under preventive action and served notice of appearance to co-operate with the investigation, a senior police officer, part of the investigations, said.
The CCB officials who are probing the case in detail analyzing the CCTV footage to identify the people who are part of the poster campaign.The probe is to focus on the people behind the campaign.
It may be recalled that Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai,took strong exception to the campaign which according to him is a conspiracy of the opposition party to demean the image of brand Bengaluru.
