The West Division police of Annapoorneshwari Nagar police have arrested a 43-year-old caretaker and recovered valuables worth Rs.15 lakh from her.
The accused has been identified as Umadevi, resident of Channagiri in Davanagere.
Senior officer told reporters the accused has been appointed by Aparna to take care of her ailing and aged father Ganganna.
On September 21,Umadevi went missing without intimation and the family members later found that the valuables worth Rs.15 lakh including Rs. 5 lakh worth cash were missing.
Based on the complaint, the police have registered a case of theft and track down Umadevi and recovered the stolen valuables including 230 gram of gold valuables,750 grams of silver articles and cash from her.
