Trainee Constable found death in bathroom of the barrack he living in his house

A 26-year-old trainee constable attached to 1st battalion of Karnataka State Reserve Police Force was found dead in a bathroom of the barrack he was living on Monday.

The deceased has been identified as Chikkappa Annappa Ambi,native of Januwadu,in Athani taluk of Belagavi district .

The incident came to light when the officials found him missing for the training session and searched everywhere but in vain.

Suspecting that he has escaped called his house to inform about him missing from the training session.

The incident came to light when the other trainee went to use the loo and found it locked from inside and after repeated knock the door was broke open to find him hanging to the window grill using a towel.

The Madiwala police rushed to the spot and conducted investigations.The police recovered the phone and found tat he had made a last video call to a female friend and reportedly had a heated argument over a trivial row .

The friend warned him to break up with him for suspecting her and arguing with her frequently .Enraged by this,Ambi had taken the extreme step, a police officer, said .

The body has been sent to his native village to perform last rites with guard of honour he added.
