Attack on BJP MLC Yogeshwar’s car,14 JD(S) workers booked
Tension gripped for sometime at Byrapattana in the outskirt of the Channapattana for sometime when members of JDS protested against stone laying ceremony of the development work accusing MLC CP Yogeshwar of avoiding HD Kumaraswamy.
Senior officer said,Angry protesters scuffled with the BJP party workers,blocked the road for sometime and pelted stones to disrupt the program.Some one has even threw an egg on the car carrying CP Yogeshwar .
Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai condemn the incident prompting the police to initiate action and book two separate cases charging the accused under section 353 (Assault or use of criminal force to deter a public servant from discharge of his duty)and section 427 (mischief ) following a complaint by CP Yogeshwar against those who threw eggs on his car.
The police have detained the protesters but no arrest have been made .
The,scuffle broke out between JDS and BJP workers in Ramanagara Channapatnam over the allegation of ignoring HD Kumaraswamy.
An egg was thrown on the car of Yogeshwar who had arrived at the event.Amidst the commotion, Minister CN Ashwath Narayan and CP Yogeshwar launched the program .
CP Yogeshwar,brought 50 crores in the special grant of the Chief Minister,had organized Guddali Puja for the works of rural roads in the constituency today.
A stage was also constructed in Rampur as the background of the program.Though he invited HD Kumaraswamy for the program,the allegation that he was misguided and continued the program.
Reacting to the incident,Yogeshwar said that he had invited Kumaraswamy but he did not turn up .
The JDS workers are Jealous of my program and wanted to disrupt as they are scared of losing their seat in the upcoming elections.
