hief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said sports help to keep good health and to develop discipline in life.
Speaking at the inauguration of ‘Namo Kisan Cup 2022’ organised on connection with 72 nd birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Senapati Chandrashekar Azad Sports Ground in Malleswaram on Saturday,he said there is inspiration in NaMo (Narendra Modi) name itself and that it cultivates the sportsmanship.
The government has made the rural sports like Kabaddi, Kho-kho, wrestling, bullock cart race and Kambala of Coastal districts as official games. More and more people must be involved in these activities, he added.
Former CM D.V.Sadananda Gowda, MLCs Narayanaswamy and Ravikumar, and office-bearers of Raitha Morcha were present.
