The KR Puram police have registered a case against three men for bludgeoning a pet dog of their neighbor for attacking their pet on Monday night.
The accused identified as Ranjith Rahul and Rajath told the police that Acchu used to bark at their pet dog and even bite when they took their dog for a evening walk.
The trio barged into the house of their neighbour
in Manjunatha Layout in Bhattarahalli and starting beating the dog with a sticks .
The accused also assaulted Gadugeppa,53,with the same sticks when he tried to intervene creating a fear psychosis.
The family members have no option but to watch their pet beaten mercilessly and one of them recorded the video on his mobile which later went viral .
The trio get exhausted and left the dog in a pool of blood.The owner later took the dog to veterinary hospital and the condition of the dog is critical .
Gadigeppa,a private firm employee had adopted a stray dog and named it as Acchu.
Gadugeppa came to know about the fight , brought Acchu back home and tied it in the compound .
The trio few minutes later armed with clubs and sticks barged into the house and beat up Acchu which did not even have had a chance to escape.
Based on the complaint,the KR Puram police have registered a case of assault,criminal intimidation and also under various sections under Prevention of Cruelty to animals act for further investigations.
