The Doddabelavangala police are on the massive manhunt for a 35-year-old driver who killed his father-in-law in a brutal way over a family dispute and sent dead body photograph to his wife as proof .
The accused Pratap from Kolar,was married to woman from Arudi village in Doddaballapura taluk 1.5 years ago and used to harass her frequently .
Unable to bear harrasment she returned to her parents house and delivered a baby and started living with her parents.
Pratap called her many times and spoke to in-laws to get back to his wife,but the family refused due to his wayward and alcoholic behavior.
On Wednesday Pratap came to see the baby but he was not allowed.In a bid to convince Pratap invited father in law Subbarayappa for drink and took him to an isolated place.
After couple of drinks,Pratap called his wife and while talking to her he strangled his father in law to death.
Pratap even sent a dead body photo on the mobile phone of her relative as proof before fleeing the spot.
Shocked family alerted the police who along with Hosahalli and Nelamangala police searched for many hours and recovered the body.
The body has been sent to Post mortem while a case of murder has been registered in Doddabelavangala police station and further investigation is on said a senior officer.
