Officers of Air Intelligence Unit intercepted the passenger,rummaged the flight and recovered over 1 kg of gold chain which he had concealed under Rhodium coat .
Based on a tip off,the officials confronted the passenger and recovered the chain worth Rs.59.9 lakh.
The accused suspected to be part of the international gold smuggling racket and has been taken into custody to ascertain his network .
In another incident,the officials arrested a passenger who was boarding a Bangkok flight from Bengaluru with a 32,500 USD concealed under a specially designed packet of his hand bag.
The accused was taken into custody for further investigations.
