Impetus on education and employment among the grassroots communities: CM Bommai

E ducation and employment are the requirements of 21st century and the state government has given impetus to these two among the grassroots communities,said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking after inaugurating Maharshi Sri Valmiki Jayanti and the presentation of Sri Maharshi Valmiki award at a function organised by Department of Scheduled Tribes Welfare in Vidhana Soudha here on Sunday,he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has wished for the academic,social and economic revolution and his wish of ‘Sab ka Saath’,’Sab Ka Vikas’,’Sab ka Vishwas’.

Every order dispatched from Vidhana Soudha is in accordance with social justice and equality which will help in the uplift of the grassroots communities.

“The best way of showing respect to Valmiki is by living like brothers by all the communities in society.The concept of Ramarajya is giving opportunity to all.

The equality has been vouched by all including Valmiki,Buddha,Basava and the Constitution. Success is guaranteed only if they step forward and willpower leads to success.

The SC/ST communities must not only get justice but also equal opportunity in the system.

Fulfill dreams of Ambedkar ;

The CM said the seers of various mutts are striving for the welfare of oppressed classes.The government was building 101 Dr B.R.Ambedkar Hostels and five mega hostels;given Rs.28,000 crore for SC/ST welfare programs;Rs.6000 crore for SC/ST departments;Rs 20 lakh for these two community people to buy land; Rs.2 lakh to build house;free 75 units of power for each SC/ST family;Rs.10 lakh grant to 100 youths in each Assembly constituency to become self-employed in the name of Dr Babu Jagjivan Ram.

Bommai said love and affection for their communities inspired him to hike reservation for SC/ST communities and even Buddha, Basava, Ambedkar and Valmiki are also the sources of inspiration.

“I have seen from close the life of hard working people.Justice must be ensured to the last man in the society.

I must compliment Justice Nagamohan Das and Justice Subhash Adi for giving wonderful reports. Even leaders of all political parties have unanimously supported this decision.The guidance of former CM,B.S.Yediyurappa was taken”.

He said the Valmiki community people are not inferior to anyone as they are ahead in intelligence,education,strength and adventure.

Bedara Kannappa belonged to this community who offered his eye to Lord Shiva.The people of this community are self-respected people and they must not become the slaves to anyone.

They must get inspiration from the great personalities like Veera Madakari Nayak,Onake Obavva,Raja Venkatappa of Surapur and others.”I am bowled out to your love and affection and this is the victory of your long drawn struggle”.

Sri Prasannanandapuri Swamiji of Valmiki Gurupeeta,Sri Basavamurthy Maadara Chennaiah, Sri Siddarameshwara Swamiji of Bhovi Mutt,Sri Vachananda Swamiji of Veerashaiva Lingayat Panchamasali peeta,Ministers Govind Karjol, B.Sriramulu and MLA Rajugouda were present.
