59-year-old security guard was killed and five others injured when a speeding cab knock them down on on Kodigehalli main road on Monday night .
The deceased Ravishankar Rao,working in a private company was walking on the footpath heading towards hotel Dum Biryani along with his two colleagues Manjunath SV and Naveen Kumar,when the cab in a rash and negligent manner jumped on the footpath and knock down them.
Two hotel staff identified as Raghu and Prakash were also injured along with the car driver .
The injured have been shifted to a near-by private hospital where Mr.Rao succumbed to his injuries later .
The Hebbal traffic police rushed to the spot seized the car and detained the driver for further investigations.
The four others injured are said to be out of danger.
In another incident,a home maker injured and her two minor daughters escaped with minor injures when a speeding cab driver knock them down at Ramanjaneya Layout in Chikkalasandra on Tuesday.
The victim,Kavya was waiting outside her apartment along with her minor daughters Ananya and Aradhya for the school van.
The cab driver identified as Santosh driving in rash and negligent manner knock down the trio . While Kavya sustained fracture injuries,Ananya and Aradhya escaped with minor injuries .
The KS Layout traffic police have registered a case against the driver and investigating .
