random vehicle check by Kothanur police led to the arrest of two bike lifters who used to steal high end bikes in and around the city to go on joy ride.
The accused has been identified as,Prashanth RV, resident of Ramamurthy Nagar and his associate Mohammed Roshan, 25 were caught while they tried to avoid the police check post at night .
Suspecting something amiss,Inspector Channesh and team on duty caught the duo and brought to the station along with the bike for questioning.
A detailed questioning led the police to recover 11 high end bikes which they had stolen from in and around the city total worth Rs.14 lakh from them.
The accused would steal the bikes to use it for joy rides and dump them in isolated places then after few days they used to steal another bike .
The police are now trying to trace the owners of the motorcycles and further investigation is on.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,CH Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP East,A subramanyeshwara Rao,DCP Northeast,Dr Anoop A Shetty,ACP,T Rangappa,PI,Channesh,PSI, Manjunath DK,and crime staff as,Apsar Ali,Suresh M,Manjunath MK,Channappa Belgundhi,Govind,Akash Jadav,Mylarlingappa,and technical wing staff as,Babu,Ravindra BV,and Siddaramana and other staff has been appreciated for the exemplary and meticulous investigation done by them in nabbing the duo notorious bike lifters a special reward will be given to whole team he added.
