Bike robbers among Retired police officers son arrested 11 high end bikes worth Rs.14 Lakhs recovered

A random vehicle check by Kothanur police led to the arrest of two bike lifters who used to steal high end bikes in and around the city to go on joy ride.

The accused has been identified as,Prashanth RV, resident of Ramamurthy Nagar and his associate Mohammed Roshan, 25 were caught while they tried to avoid the police check post at night .

Suspecting something amiss,Inspector Channesh and team on duty caught the duo and brought to the station along with the bike for questioning.

A detailed questioning led the police to recover 11 high end bikes which they had stolen from in and around the city total worth Rs.14 lakh from them.

The accused would steal the bikes to use it for joy rides and dump them in isolated places then after few days they used to steal another bike .

The police are now trying to trace the owners of the motorcycles and further investigation is on.
