hief Minister Basavaraj Bommai announced a compensation of Rs.10 lakh to a family of ten-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted and murdered by a tuition teacher in Malavalli town of Mandya district recently.
Speaking at the valedictory of Sri Malemahadeshara Kumbh Mela in K.R.Pet taluk on Sunday,he said everyone has been shocked by this incident and it must not have taken place in society.It is a most heinous crime and has been done by those without humanity.
The incident cannot be criticised in words.The trauma that the little girl would have undergone at that time cannot be imagined.
The accused has been arrested and slapped with a POCSO case against him.The DG &IGP was instructed on the day of this incident to issue directions to the SP of Mandya district to arrest the accused.
The FSL report is expected within a week and thereafter the charge sheet will be prepared and filed before the POSCO court.All necessary steps will be taken for early justice and also stringent punishment for the accused.

Rs.2.3O crore input subsidy
The CM said that the state has received good rainfall and all tanks are full.The floods have caused floods in some places and caused problems in residential areas.
For Mandya district, Rs.2.30 crore input subsidy has been released.The Deputy commissioner has been asked to take appropriate steps without delay.
Two persons who have lost life due to rain related incidents are given a compensation of Rs. 5 lakh each and relief has been given for 304 houses that had been damaged in rain.
The compensation will be given once the district administration submits a report regarding rain damage to the government.
“Earlier, it was taking one to one and a half years for the payment of input subsidy.After I became the chief minister,the input subsidy is disbursed to farmers through DBT within 1.5 months.
The input subsidy has been hiked two times.The incumbent government is always with farmers”, the CM said.
On frequent accumulation of rain water on
Bengaluru-Mysuru Express Highway,Bommai said he will discuss with the authorities concerned to know whether it is due to faulty design or maintenance problem.
The NHAI officials will be asked to take steps to prevent the accumulation of water and also to identify the blackspots.
