He called upon all parties to come together to protect democracy. He said that they will meet again soon and formulate an action on this. “First let’s save the survival of political parties and fight on public issues. People will decide the matter of contesting and voting in the elections later,” he explained. Chandrababu, who came to Vijayawada from Hyderabad on Tuesday, met Pawan Kalyan at Novotel Hotel. After the meeting, both of them spoke in a press conference and made it clear that their main goal is to protect democracy in the state. He said that the restrictions on Pawan’s visit to Visakha and the manner in which he was treated by the police had caused him pain and suffering.
“I will talk to Pawan Kalyan about the need for all parties to fight against Vaikapa anarchy. I will talk to all parties. If necessary, we will meet again. Let’s sit and talk.’ Nadendla Manohar, chairman of political affairs of Jana Sena, Naga Babu and others who were there burst into laughter when Chandrababu commented that Pawan Kalyan, who is not used to always being insulted as a hero in movies.

If there is injustice in any village, should we not go there? There is no situation to go to any village and hold a meeting freely to know the problems of the people. If we want to help with our own money… we can’t do it’ said Duyyabatta. “Everywhere in the state, Vaikapa leaders are in the grips.. There is no protection for girls. They are also depriving them of the freedom to say that they are not protected. ‘Scolding us.. mentally and physically distressing.. this CM is getting satanic pleasure. It is not permanent Chief Minister.. Remember that..’ Chandrababu warned. “Vaikapa leaders are attacking, filing cases and putting them in jail, blaming… I have never seen this kind of personality attack. They are all talking about how much they need to talk individually to weaken people. If they talk back, they will file a case and put them in jail. Unable to bear their violence, many commit suicide. “Some people are living without being able to speak out,” he said.

Chandrababu said that they are making a mockery of democracy by making false cases against the leaders and threatening them. There has been no democracy in the state for three and a half years. Parties do not survive. Then who will fight for people’s problems? Who should people tell their problems to?’ He asked. Is there democracy in Andhra Pradesh? In my 40 years of politics.. 14 years as CM, 14 years as opposition leader and 27 years as party president. I have no such freedom. I am seeing politics that I have never seen in 40 years. I have never seen such a mean and ugly party in my life. If asked, they are counter-attacking. Caste and religion colors are being used to hide their mistakes. They are hurting mentally and physically,’ he expressed his anger. In such situations, democratic values should be preserved. Vaikapa should fight on behalf of the people against the evils. A joint legal and political struggle should be done. Fight separately. People should have faith in democracy. People will not come forward if we are not able to meet.’ ‘Media is not free. A journalist named Ankababu was arrested at midnight in Vijayawada. Then I came forward and spoke. If Vaikapa MP Raghuramakrishna Raju was attacked, I was the first to react. Wrote a letter to the President. Otherwise they would have killed him.’
Pawan was harassed in Visakhapatnam
Chandrababu said that Pawan Kalyan was harassed since he landed in Visakhapatnam and created a terrible atmosphere in his room throughout the night. ‘Is this democracy? Turn off the lights on the way and send the car into the dark? Will the police officer stop his car on the sidewalk? Isn’t Pawan Kalyan a citizen of this state? Is he not eligible to go to Visakhapatnam? Is it wrong to have a meeting there? Will you issue a 41A notice and send the train from Visakhapatnam to Vijayawada? If he is there, will there be a problem of peace and security?’ They showered questions. ‘The problems of peace and security are created by Vaikapa leaders and they are bringing cases against other parties. He said that what happened to Pawan today, if the rest of the parties are confined to their homes, the same thing will happen to everyone tomorrow. He warned that some policemen are behaving badly and if such people do not change their attitude, there is no way out.

Pawan Kalyan declared that political parties fighting for the people of the state will be silenced and those who lead them will be crushed. They said that democracy is becoming murderous. People are unjustly filing cases against soldiers and putting them in jails. They are causing problems in many ways. We will change the fighting strategies accordingly’ he said. He said, ‘If democracy is to survive, there should be political parties.. The leaders of the parties should identify the problems of the people and bring them out’. “Not only Telugu Desam and Janasena leaders, but also BJP leaders have been unfairly charged. This is the Chief Minister who goes to Delhi and gives Tirupati Lads. They come to the state and implicate BJP leaders in cases. The intestines will be taken out’, he expressed anger. All parties including CPI, CPM, BJP and TDP should fight together in the background of anarchic situation in the state. Democracy should survive’, he appealed. ‘All this will not be resolved in one day, if necessary we will talk ten times. Let’s walk together with everyone. This is the time to live the democracy.
