PM’s visit on Nov 11:Ensure airport passengers remain unaffected,CM Bommai instructs officials

C hief Minister Basavaraj Bommai held a preliminary meeting regarding the arrangements for the inauguration of Terminal-2 of Kempegowda International Airport and unveiling 108 foot tall statue of Nadaprabhu Kempegowda near the airport in Bengaluru by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 11.

He said the function must not affect the traveling public to the airport and the cops must ensure no disruption of traffic on the day of inauguration.

Higher Education Minister Dr.C.N.Ashwath Narayana informed the meeting as a prelude to the November 11 function, ‘Banni Naada Kattona’, a campaign for the collection of sacred mud (Mruthike) from all districts will start tomorrow.

This campaign must be successful and DCs, CEOs,EOs of all Taluk Panchayats,Village Accountants and PDOs must work as a team. Twenty vehicles are kept ready for the collection of sacred mud and it will travel across the state within 15 days for the same.

The CM issued directions to make the Mruthuike collection campaign a grand success.

Ministers R.Ashok,Dr C.N.Ashwath Narayana, Dr.K.Sudhakar,B.A.Basavaraj,K.Gopalaiah, K.C.Narayana Gowda,Vokkaliga Development Corporation Chairman M.Krishnappa and officials of Kempegowda Heritage Site Development Authority were present.
