The untimely death of Anand Mamani,the State has lost a good elected representative: CM Bommai

The untimely death of Anand Mamani,Deputy speaker in the State Legislative Assembly, Karnataka has lost a good elected representative and an emerging leader,said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Talking to reporters at his R.T.Nagar residence here on Sunday,he said the mortal remains of Anand Mamani were taken to his Assembly Constituency Savadatti where last rites will be performed in the full state honour.

All senior leaders including him will be attending the funeral.

Bommai said Anand Mamani was the most active person and had a lot of concern for the people.He had special interest in farmers and irrigation projects,and had taken a lead role in installing eight lift gates in his constituency under Malaprabha Irrigation Scheme.

Mamani had a clear clarity on all-round development of his constituency since the first time of getting elected to the State Assembly.

He had a bright future in politics and had an in-depth knowledge of administration.As deputy speaker, he had conducted the Assembly in the best manner.

The CM said Anand Mamani passed away due to an illness at a young age and had been to Chennai for the advance treatment.

But he died in the early hours of Sunday as he failed to respond to treatment.Anand Mamani’s father had died of heart attack when he was Deputy Speaker,his brother too had died at an young age, and his another relative,Rajanna Mamani had passed away following illness.

The death of Anand Mamani was a great loss to the State as well as to him personally.
