he West Division Police of Vijayanagar police have cracked a kidnap for ransom case and rescued a 36-year-old son of a furniture shop owner within 12 hours of his abduction on Monday.
The accused has been identified as,Azgar Pasha and Anand Kumar.
Laxman B Nimbargi,DCP,West division,said that a kidnapping case was reported in Vijayanagar police station in which victim relative said that some miscreants on pretext of meeting called Vikas Bora and kidnapped him infront of his house.
Three Special teams were formed under the leadership of ACP,P Ravi,PIs,as,D Santhosh Kumar,Raju MS,Lohith and their crime staff swung into action and the team kept a close watch and asked the victim to negotiate ask for 40,00,000,and the miscreants agreed later and the team were behind as soon as the duo came to collect money bag was immediately detained .
During investigation the accused confessed the crime and the accused Anand Kumar and his associate Arjith were working in a pharma company where Vikas and his father Mahendra Kumar had done the interiors.
The accused during the interaction gathered the details of financial condition of Vikas Bora and hatched a plan to abduct him for ransom.
Anand Kumar roped in his contact Azgar Pasha for the job offered him Supari who in turn got his associates to do the job.
As per the plan the accused posing as executives of reputed company called Vikas Bora and asked him to come to Uttarahalli to discuss about interior contract for their company.
As Vikas Bora reached the destination, the accused abducted him in a car and drove him to Mandya and informed Anand Kumar and Azgar.
The accused called up Mahendra Kumar to inform him about the kidnap and demanded Rs.1 crore and 15 kilos of gold.
The accused also threatened and warned Mahendra Kumar to Kill Vikas Bora if he approach the police.
Mahendra Kumar narrated the ordeal with his friend Mahaveer Jain for advise who suggested him to approach the police.
Based on the complaint,the police swung into action and arrested Anand Kumar and Azhar Pasha when they came to receive the ransom amount in a bike a team of police who was waiting to nab them surrounded the area and pinned them down.
Based on their information the police team rescued Vikas Bora and reunited him with his family.
Lakshman Nimbargi said that there are more accused involved in the crime who are on the run. Efforts are on to track down the accused .
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,CH Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP West,Sandeep Patil,DCP West,Laxman B Nimbargi,ACP,Ravi,P,PIs,as,D Santhosh Kumar,Raju MS, Lohith and their crime staffs of all three stations who has done a commendable and exemplary work in nabbing the two notorious kidnappers who abducted businessman son for ransom a suitable reward will be given to whole team for the meticulous investigation done by them he added.
