GRP officers caught him red-handed before entering Howrah after chasing him from Burdwan.On Thursday, Haryana Police informed GRP Superintendent of Police (Howrah) Pankaj Dwivedi about the entire incident. Along with that, the photo of the accused was sent and informed that the young man named Shiv Kumar was coming to Kolkata by Kalka mail. The GRP learned that the Down Kalka mail was running two hours late. After that, a team of Howrah GRP reached Burdwan and from there boarded Kalka to Howrah and started searching for the accused Shiv Kumar. The officers of the GRP started searching every room one by one.Sivakumar got his rail seat confirmed by paying a fine as he had boarded the train without a ticket.GRP officials caught him from the reserved coach before entering Howrah station. Meanwhile, a team of Haryana’s Panipat police was also present at Howrahstation in search of the accused. Howrah GRP caught the accused Shiv Kumar and handed him over to the Panipat police team. On the same night itself, the Haryana police left for Panipat by plane with the arrested Shivakumar.
