The Parappana Agrahara police cracked a murder case within five hours and arrested three people who bludgeoned a 40-year-old autorickshaw driver to death over a financial row over Rs.4,000 on Wednesday.
The deceased Raju,had gambled with the accused Vijay Reddy and Vinay Reddy,a local landlords and won huge amount from him during Deepawali .
The accused after losing all the money,borrowed ₹4,000 from Raju and lost .
Raju started demanding the loan amount and humiliated them publicly and abused them. Enraged by this the accused decided to teach him a lesson and asked their associate Gangadhar to invite him for liquor party.
Gangadhar as per the plan invited Raju for liquor party on Wednesday night and after couple of drinks the trio attacked him with a cement brick killing him on the spot .
The trio left the body in an isolated place and escaped.
The Parappana Agarahara police took up the investigations track down the accused within five hours of the murder and arrested them.
The trio confessed that they killed Raju from a lower middle class background,humiliated and abused them verbally using unparliamentary words.Enraged over this the accused decided to kill him.
