Lotus will bloom in 2023 Assembly polls and ‘Kalyana Parva’ of Kalyana Karnataka’ will begin: CM Bommai

Dr.Thomas (Special Correspondent)

The uplift of all sections of society and the development all regions has started and the lotus will again bloom in the 2023 Assembly polls.

Even the development of Kalyana Karnataka will start, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking at the mammoth OBC convention organised by State BJP Unit here on Sunday,he said noone can cheat all people all the time.

Leader of the Opposition in the State Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah had promised a suitable status for backward classes but he cheated his own community by not inducting any Kuruba community legislator in the Council of Ministers.

Taking Siddaramaiah to task for staking claim for hike in quota for SC/ST communities, the CM said the Congress governments never cared to fulfil the 50 year old demand of those communities.

The committee under the chairmanship of Justice Nagamohan Das to study hike in reservation for SC/ST communities was constituted during the coalition government and not by the Congress Party government.

It was he and his predecessor, B.S.Yediyurappa who received the Committee report and resolved to implement it in a bid to do justice to the communities.

The living standards of SC/ST communities must improve and they too must lead a self-reliant life by joining the mainstream of the society.

Despite strong opposition, the incumbent government has done justice for SCs/STs.Under the Amrit scheme,Rs.354 crore grant has been released to over 20,000 associations of the Kuruba community without any guarantee.

Why was this not done by Siddaramaiah who belongs to the same community? Did he not have the minimum courtesy to help that community at least after coming to power?

Bommkai said the Government of India has issued an order to include Talawar community to Scheduled Tribes by removing it from the list of backward classes.

There is poverty and pain in the community and immigrate. We are not here to see their travails and decided to do justice for that community.

I have come to this convention with the official order.Power is not permanent as it will come and go but I will go by doing justice for the community.

My government has given 2,000 new classrooms, 51 new hospitals and 316 new buses.A textile park will be established soon.

By doing this, we are giving employment to local youths. The real development of Kalyana Karnataka will be started. No one must suffer from poverty and unemployment.I am ready to work 24 hours daily and always ready to work for them.

I am ready for any sacrifice.Let your blessings be on me always and I want you to be the engine of changes in the coming days”.

Backward classes are not in your pockets

The CM said a sea of people have gathered in the convention and this has given a big strength for them.

The strength given by them will be used for their welfare. The Congress Party must know that backward classes are no longer in your pockets as they are awakened. They are solidly behind BJP.

“I will challenge the Congress Party to try stopping our ‘Vijay Path’ if you have guts”.
