Notorious women robber caught by alert Jewellery shop owner recovered stolen gold ornaments worth Rs.3.2 lakhs

Alert jewel shop owner caught a 34-year-old woman red handed while she was trying to steal a gold ring .

The accused Nadiya Rajesh posing as customer visited Mahaveer Jeweler shop in Yashwanthpur few months ago had stolen 20 grams of gold valuables worth Rs.1 lakh earlier.

The owner of the Shop Vishal Kumar Sha realized the theft and alerted the staff.

However few days ago Nadiya visited the shop on the pretext of buying gold ring for babies and stolen one after diverting the attention of the counter salesman.

But the staff had a hunch about Nadiya as they identified her since they had watched the CCTV footage of earlier offence.

As soon as she is about to leave the shop without buying anything,the staff confronted her and alerted the police who rushed to the spot and arrested her.

A detailed inquiry by Inspector Suresh K revealed that the accused was involved in four such theft cases .

Based on her information the police recovered 63.9 grams of gold valuables worth Rs.3.2 lakh from her.

The accused is a habitual offender confessed that she would steal small amount of gold from the jewel shops every time she visit .

However the shop owners ignore and did not file complaint with the police which encouraged the accused carry over her activities.

Luck ran out for her when she visited Mahaveer Jewelers second time and the shop owner identified her based on the previous experience.

The accused also confessed that she would move around crowded public places to identify vulnerable senior citizen travelling alone.

She would travel with them to steal their valuables . The Yeshwanthpur police are further investigating to ascertain her criminal background and further investigation is on.
