The State government has determined to develop Karnataka on the ideology and thinking of ‘Nadaprabhu’ Kempegowda’,declared Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking at a function organised to dedicate the 108 foot tall bronze statue of Kempegowda by Prime Minister Narendra Modi near Bengaluru Airport on Friday,he said the PM has given two gifts to Karnataka.Vande Bharat train and second terminal of Bengaluru International Airport, Sub-Urban Train and construction of a port in the coastal region.
For which the government of Karnataka is indebted to him.We have resolved to follow the ideology and thinking of Kempegowda in the development of Karnataka”.
Golden letter day in Karnataka development
The CM said today is golden letter day in development of Karnataka as Modi has offered floral tributes to Saint Kanakadasa, Maharshi Valmiki and Onake Obavva,and shown respects to the sentiments of Kannadigas.
The PM has flagged off Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru Vande Bharat high-speed train and opened Terminal-2 at Bengaluru International Airport.With this,Bengaluru KIAL has become the second biggest airport of the country.
Bengaluru,now an international City
Bommai said Nadaprabhu Kempegowda and rulers of Vijayanagar kingdom had shown the golden period to villages around Bengaluru.
Today,this city has grown as an international city thanks to the vision of Kempegowda who ensured planned development with a number of tanks and opening the markets for every profession.
By doing it,he provided a peaceful life for people. Showing respect to Kempegowda is like showing great honour to the culture,heritage and progressive thinking of the state.
While there is a statue of unity in Gujarat,the statue of Prosperity dedicated to Nadaprabhu Kempegowda was unveiled today.
Modi,a ‘vikas purush’ of modern India
Saying PM Modi as ‘Vikas Purush’ of Modern India, the CM said Modi helped to overall several challenges faced by the country,built a strong nation and took India to new heights in development under the slogan of ‘Atmanirbhar’ Bharath’.
At a time when the world is facing an economic crisis,the economy of India is becoming stronger. This is happening because of a vikas purush called Modi.
It was God’s will that Kempegowda’s statue was unveiled from a person who is trying to build ‘Navabharath’.
Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot,Union Minister Pralhad Joshi,Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Maha Samsthan,Ministers, R.Ashok,Dr.C.N.Ashwath Narayana,Dr.K.Sudhakar, former CM,B.S.Yediyurappa and others were present.
