The district of Shivamogga has given three chief ministers to the State and among them the name of most popular BJP leader, B.S.Yediyurappa will remain as long as the Sun and the Moon remain thanks to launching of a number of welfare programs.
Speaking after inaugurating the BJP’s Jan Sankalp Yatra at Sorab here on Tuesday,he said Yediyurappa,as the chief minister,had waived off agriculture loan,free power 10 HP IP sets,incentive for milk producers,Bhoo Chetana,Bhagya Lakshmi for girl students,bi-cycles for students and others with the intention of uplifting the last man in society.Yediyurappa is the real ‘son of the soil’.
The CM said Sorab had been represented by noted backward classes leaders like S.Bangarappa whose contributions to the society and commitment cannot be forgotten.
Former CM,D.Devaraj Urs implemented the Land Reforms Act and made tiller as owner of land.This agitation was started in Shivamogga and Bangarappa was very much influenced by Devaraja Urs and created awareness among the backward classes in the district.
Bangarappa does not belong to any party as he did not do politics by believing in any party.But all political parties belonged to him.Now some people claim themselves as backward classes but the real leaders are Devaraja Urs and Bangarappa”.
He said former CM Yediyurappa changed the very scene of the Shivamogga district and improved the lives of many people.
The people of Shivamogga must stand behind Yediyurappa and allow him to serve people for many more years.
The BJP will win all the seats in Shivamogga district in the coming Assembly polls.A foundation stone for Dandavati lift irrigation scheme will be laid soon and development works worth Rs 800 crore will be inaugurated in January,next year.An international airport will be established in Shivamogga.
Former CM Yediyurappa,Ministers,Araga Jnanendra,C.Narayanagowda,Byrati Basavaraj,MP B.Y.Raghavendra,MLA Kumar Bangarappa and others were present.
