T here will be solutions for all problems of Bengaluru soon,said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking after inaugurating the annual conference of South Indian Hotels and Restaurants Association organised on behalf of Department of Tourism here on Friday,he said traffic density is common in Bengaluru as lakhs of people come here daily besides rapid increase in the number of people working in the city.
It has been decided to build five new cities in the State with all modern facilities and it will be called ‘Nava Karnataka’.
This year,three new airports will be opened and another three new airports will be constructed next year. Airstrips will be built to reach distant places.
Development of tourist places
The CM said development of important places for tourists will be done and six ropeways including Anjanadri Hills and Jog Falls are being constructed.
Karnataka is a progressive and friendly-state and it is a good host in the Tourism sector.A good hospitality will not only attract people but will also create a good impression about the State.The demands of the association will be considered including GST concession.
God’s most loved country
Bommai suggested to the department to add one more slogan ‘God’s most loved country’ along with ‘One State many words’.
The government is always open to new ideas.All three southern states, Karnataka,Tamil Nadu and Kerala must attract tourists in a similar way.
Karnataka has the longest stretch of Western Ghats and it was more beautiful than Switzerland but they have failed to identify it.
They have a number of religious places also.The State has been offering a good service in the tourism sector and it has a tourism policy too. Soon, the state will have two tourist circuits,Hampi and Mysuru.
Facility of seeing everything with one ticket will be introduced soon. Everyone loves Bengaluru and around 5,000 to 10,000 scientists visit Bengaluru International Airport.
Around 400 R& D labs are situated in Bengaluru and this is one of the most visited cities in the country.
Prepare plans for planned development of tourism
He said tourism must provide all facilities and it must concentrate towards providing everything to everybody who visits here for one or other reasons.
A planned development of tourism is the need of the hour and tourism has no boundaries. Karnataka is blessed with the longest coastal area.
The government of India has given relaxation in the new CRZ rules for the promotion of coastal tourism.
There are a number of natural beaches in the state and this relaxation will help in the development of those places.
