The Northeast Division cyber crime police arrested a 25-year-old conman who posing as technician of a reputed company cheat people on the pretext of repairing their home appliances .
Based on two complaints received,the cyber crime police track down Abdul Subhan,from Gurappanapalya and arrested him.
The police seized two phones and four SIM cards which Subhan was using.
Senior officer said,Subhan claiming to the authorized technician from a leading company put up his contact number on social media to trap gullible people.
People who search for authorized technician would call him for which the accused would visit their house and check the appliances and give them a huge bill for repair and escape with the money.
The accused would change the contact number on social media to trap other people,a police officer, said.So far the police have registered two cases of cheating and further investigating to ascertain his network.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,CH Pratap Reddy has appreciated DCP Northeast,Dr Anoop A Shetty,PI,Santhosh Ram R,PSIs,as,Ramangowda,Raghu,ASI Ramesh,and crime staff as,Obalesh,Srinath,and Nishanth has been appreciated for the exemplary and excellent work done by them in nabbing the notorious conman a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
