The West Division Police of Cottonpet police busted a prostitution racket and arrested three people including a woman running flesh trade from a lodge on the garb of running home care service from qualified nurses and domestic help.
The accused has been identified as,Archana Ashok Kumar,37,and her assistants,Raghavendra,30,and Manjunatha,33.
Senior officer told reporters,the DCP West, Laxman B Nimbargi received a credible information that some people are running prostitution racket in Gandharva lodge in the pretext of giving medical care service to their customers.
Based on a tip off,a team of police swung into action and raided Gandharva lodge in Balepet are found that the woman at the lodge are been forced into flesh trade.
During raid the team arrested Archana Ashok Kumar, 37,for running the racket,her assistants , Raghavendra, 30 and Manjunatha,33.
During investigation it was found that the trio tied up with the lodge owner to offer services to the customers on the pretext of providing medical care.
A detailed investigation by the team it has revealed that Archana is a resident of Nagashettyhalli owns, Archana Sebika &Ayuh Center (bureau of qualified nurse & ayah),home care service and lured gullible women offering decent jobbs.
The accused would later blackmail her staff and forced them into prostitution in the lodge.The team are now on the lookout for the lodge owner, Krishnappa,and manager Mahadevaswamy who are on the run.
The lodge has been sealed and we have sent information to BBMP to cancel the licence of lodge for running illegal activities and violating the licence norms and as per procedure if a lodge is indulged in any illegal activities will be sealed till further orders as per law .
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,CH Pratap Reddy,has appreciated Addl CP West,Sandeep Patil, DCP West,Laxman B Nimbargi,ACP,KC Giri,PI, Praveen KY,PSI,Smt.Kavyashree,and crime staff as,Nagappa,Ravikumar,Lohith,Rangaswamy, Mubarak,Vasanth Kumar BC,with women staff as,Radha,Shobha,and Madhushree has been appreciated for their excellent and meticulous investigation in busting the racket which was running from past many years by hoodwinking cops when they conduct raid but this time their luck ran out by the special team of DCP West,a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
