CM meets Union Forest Minister: Appeals him to declare the surrounding areas of Wild Bear sanctuary as ecologically sensitive area

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai met Union Minister for forests, Environment and Ecology Bhupendra Yadav and discussed with him various issues related to the ministry.

The CM appealed to Yadav to declare the surrounding areas of the newly-created Gudekote wildbear Sancutary and Bhimgarh National Forest as ecologically sensitive areas.

Already, two draft notifications in this regard are passed in the State Cabinet and forwarded the same proposal to the Union Government for necessary action.

Water Resources Minister Govind Karjol, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary N.Manjunath Prasad and others were present.
