Minority voters not deleted from voter’s list: CM Bommai

Dr.Thomas (Special Correspondent)

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai termed it as false the reports that the minority voters are deleted from the voter’s list after the unauthorised surveys across the State.

Talking to reporters at Hubballi Airport on Friday,he said the Election Commission was seized of the matter and the revision of voter’s list is being done under their supervision.

Both Election Commission of India and State Election Commission have already taken proper care in this work.Any such complaints would be probed through officials.

But,the inclusion of unauthorised voters into the voter’s list is going on.There are number of voters having double the election voter’s identification card of two separate addresses and even those names must be removed by the Election Commission.

At any cost the genuine voters must have the voting rights and that must be ensured by the Election Commission.
