The Pulakeshinagar police on Tuesday arrested a gang of three who tried to cheat a city based businessman promised to sell diamond necklace for a cheaper rate .
The trio identified as Nagaraj and his associates Balakrishna and Rajesh had met the businessman in a hotel and taken Rs.10,000 advance to sell the necklace and later offered to sell a diamond stone valued Rs.25 Crore.
Suspecting their behaviour,the businessman complained to the police who trapped the accused luring to pay the money and arrested them.
The police are now trying to find out if the accused have had cheated any others.
Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner, CH Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP East,A subramanyeshwara Rao, DCP East, Dr Bheemashankar S Guled,ACP Abdul Khadar, PI,Kiran KB and his whole team who has done a commendable and exemplary work in nabbing the trio a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
