Four Notorious Mobile lifters arrested by City Market police recovered 27 Stolen Mobile Phones Worth Rs.9 Lakhs

The West Division police of City Market police on Wednesday busted and arrested a gang of four people and recovered 27 mobile phones worth Rs.9 lakh from them.

The accused has been identified as,Rajashekhar,27 and his associates,Kiran,28,Shoukath Ali,28 and Balram,38 are native of Bhadravathi town.

Senior officer told reporters during investigation it was found that the accused used to come to city and move around in crowded area to lookout for gullible people to steal mobile phones.

The accused once target a person they would follow and one of them pick the mobile and pass it on to their associate who would escape in the crowd before the owner of the mobile phone reacts.

Using the Modus Operandi,the accused steal mobile phone from Zabiulla,who had come to buy vegetables at the market .

Based on the complaint,the police kept a watch and track down the accused .

The total value of the seized 27 mobile from the accused is estimated to be around Rs.9 lakh,the police,said .

The City Market police have taken the accused into custody and further investigating to check their involvement in other cases.
