FIFA World Cup Semi-Finals,Bengaluru eateries allowed to open till 3:30 am on 14&15th December

Considering the request for extension of deadline during FIFA Semi Final matches,city police commissioner ordered to extend 2.5 hours for the hotels,restaurants and eateries in and around the city for two days .

In a circular issued on Tuesday,city police
commissioner said that the order was made following a representation made by members of the federation of clubs seeking permission to provide food for the football fans at the public places during the semi final matches scheduled on 14 and 15 this month.

The order was made under Karnataka Police Act allowing the eateries, hotels and restaurants to function till 3.30 am from the existing 1am for two days .

However they have to abide by the excise and sound and pollution control prescribed rules .

Those who violate the rules and found operating between 3.30 am to 6 am during these period will be liable for legal action as per the KP Act.

This rules however are not applicable for Airport , bus stand and railway stations,the circular stated.

Additional Commissioner of Police,Administration, Dr A Subramanyeswara Rao told reporters that the rules is applicable only for two days on special request for football season.

This provision for extension will be monitored by police and ensure that there will be no scope for any violations and will be strictly monitored to ensure law and order he added.
