Established two decades ago, this educational institution is flourishing day by day and has brought great prestige to Hyderabad and has become a source of pride for the country. In the latest FT Global MBA Rankings- 2022, ISB has secured the 32nd position. Asia- ranked 4th in FT Global MBA Rankings- 2022. It ranks first in research rankings in our country. with Central and State Governments on various social research projects for the benefit of the people; Working with some trade associations. Nationally and internationally renowned management academics, Attracting representatives of various business organizations, efforts are being made to expand local business skills. Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have been providing higher management education in our country for many years. But the honor of achieving the highest standards in a very short time and bringing international recognition to our country goes to ISB.
With this activity
It must be said that it is a very rare opportunity for such a leading organization to come to our country and that is to be established in Hyderabad. The reason for this was the vision of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who was the head of the then united state government. Rajat Gupta, the chief of McKinsey and Company, had the idea of establishing an international level management education institute in our country. Corporate tycoons like Rahul Bajaj, Adi Godrej, Ambani… supported Rajat Gupta’s idea. In 1997, ISB Governing Board was formed. When the question of where to establish this educational institution came, the governing board naturally favored Mumbai, which is the financial capital of the country. But with appeals coming in from more states, the board felt that it should be examined in those states before taking a final decision. Maharashtra, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu competed for this along with the united Andhra Pradesh. When the members of the board went to other states, the rulers and officials there did some tactsara. Chandrababu took the initiative and invited the members of the governing board himself and asked them to set up ISB in Hyderabad. He strongly felt that the prestige of the city would further increase if a top level management institute like ISB was established as the IT, Pharma and Biotechnology sectors were expanding rapidly. Apart from guaranteeing full support in terms of government, they are ready to grant permissions fast. Hence the governing board chose Hyderabad. On December 20, 1999, Chandrababu laid the foundation stone for the construction of the building. ISB was started on December 2, 2001 by the then Prime Minister Vajpayee. He invited the governing board members himself and asked them to set up ISB in Hyderabad. Two decades is nothing short of time. This is an important occasion to review the past and set goals for the future. Therefore, ISB is celebrating its bi-decade celebrations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the inauguration ceremony in May this year and praised the excellence of ISB. He advised the students of ISB to take decisions that benefit society as well as profit. Further ISB has organized many discussion groups. The closing ceremony of the bi-decade celebrations will be held on Friday. Chandrababu will attend as the chief guest. He will address the students, alumni, academics, faculty and other dignitaries of ISB. Founder Dean of ISB Dr. Pramat Raj Sinha will also be present.

Rayadurgam, Newstoday: When the foundation stone of ISB was laid, this area of Nanakranguda was full of trees and bushes. With the initiative of Chandrababu, Microsoft’s first office outside America was established in Hyderabad, ISB Chentane. There are premises of Infosys and Wipro on the same road. Capgemini office is nearby. After the formation of Telangana government, with the initiative of KT Rama Rao as the IT minister, Amazon’s second largest center was also established at some distance from ISB. More and more international companies are opening their offices in Hyderabad. Financial institutions, ICICI Bank Tower, insurance regulatory institutions and star hotels have come up rapidly in the financial district. Luxurious multi-storied buildings have been erected in the surrounding areas. IT buildings like Waverack, QCity, where IT companies are located, research and development centers of many companies have also come up.
