The central government conducted a key review on Wednesday amid concerns over the Corona crisis. There are opportunities to formulate key guidelines for international travelers in this meeting.
Delhi: The central government has become alarmed in the wake of increasing cases of Corona Virus in many countries including China and America. A high-level review was conducted to assess the virus situation in countries around the world. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya (Mansukh Mandaviya) in this meeting, NITI Aayog member Dr. VK Paul, National Vaccine Technical Advisory Group (NTAGI) Chairman NL Aroda, ICMR DG Dr. Rajeev Bahal, other senior officials of health department, officials of health, AYUSH, medicine and biotechnology departments participated.
Officials will discuss the new variants of Covid emerging in many countries. Along with this, there are opportunities to take important decisions on international travel in this meeting. There is an opportunity to create guidelines for travelers coming from countries where the Corona outbreak is ongoing.
At the time of Corona agitation in the country, the central government has already given key instructions to all the states and Union Territories. Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan has written a letter stating that there is a need to analyze the complete genome sequence of positive samples to detect new variants of the virus from time to time. For this, the samples tested positive for covid were asked to be sent to Sars Cov-2 Genomics Consortium (INSACAG) testing centers every day.
Corona cases are currently under control in the country. Active cases are below 4,000. However, cases are increasing exponentially in Japan, South Korea, Brazil and America, including China. The total number of cases in America has crossed 10 crores. In this order, the central government has focused on precautionary measures.
