While the city is gearing up for the new year celebration,city police commissioner has issued a set of guidelines for the jurisdictional DCPs to step to security measures to ensure peaceful event and monitor law and order.
In a circular issued on Monday,CH Pratap Reddy, instructed the DCPs to take strict measures to step up while behave Courteously with people especially when they are in an inebriated state.
However the police on duty have been instructed to take strict action against eve teasers and mischief mongers and arrest them.
The city police chief also instructed to intensify patrolling in the CBD areas and ensure security measures including the CCTVs and necessary lightings are in place.
The police should be in touch with the officials of the BESCOM to ensure uninterrupted power supply in the areas where there are gatherings.
The police should put up check points and conduct random checks of vehicles and ensure no parking in the CBD areas .
Vehicle movement on the flyovers should be banned and the police should be in full uniform with body worn camera and armed during the security duty.
The policemen should not leave their designated place and keep an eye on the anti social elements and those who oppose the celebrations.
