Washington: Superpower America (US) is roaring with snow storm (winter storm). Due to heavy snowfall and cold winds, the temperature has dropped to the lowest level. On the other hand, the electricity supply was stopped and local life was disrupted. Electricity supply to more than 15 lakh homes across America was cut off and people had to stay in the dark.
According to the US National Weather Service, temperatures dropped to -48 degrees on Friday. More than 20 million people across the United States are under the threat of snow storms. Highways were closed due to heavy snow accumulation. Due to this, people had to postpone their Christmas trips. As for the situation there, locals say that boiled water freezes immediately. A woman from New York said that there is no electricity supply and they are facing difficulties because they are unable to go out.
5 thousand flights were canceled on Friday alone. Another 7600 flights were delayed. 50 vehicles collided with each other due to snow storm in Ohio. One person lost his life in this incident. In Michigan too, 9 tractors collided and disrupted traffic. Officials suggest that the impact of snow is high and people should not go out unless it is an emergency. Current conditions are in danger of becoming a ‘Bomb Cyclone’, according to AccuWeather. In this order, Governor of New York Kathy Hochul, together with the governors of other regions, declared a local ‘state of emergency’.
