The newly-elected Deputy Chairman of State Legislative Council M.K.Pranesh who is a responsible person,simple and progressive thinking, will do justice for the post and through this solutions will arrive for the problems of people, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai
Speaking after felicitating Praneesh here on Friday, the CM was confident that Praneesh will gain the confidence and affection of all party members.
The newly-elected Deputy Chairman is a simple politician who takes up people’s issues and fight till the finds solutions.His talks and actions are the same.
A gentleman,he has friends across parties and communities,and playing an important role in the overall development of Chikmagalur district.
Be it issues of farmers,people living in fringes of forests,tribal or coffee planters,SCs/STs,he responds to everyone.
Strength, capacity to handle post
Bommai said Paneesh had efficiently worked as Deputy Chairman last time,and he is quite capable of handing the Upper House effectively and efficiently in the coming days.
He had taken bold stand several times in the past. By maintaining the same stand, there is a need to take the entire House into confidence and manage it.
Permission for academic debates
He said in democracy, they will talk on the stand of parties several times.Be it people’s interest,land, water, language issues of the state or any other burning issue they need to stand above everything to find out solution.
This is applicable to everyone,and more importantly for those who are sitting in top posts.A different kind of expectation is expected from the Upper House as there will be in-depth and issue-based debates,and shed new angle or light while formulating laws.
People expects intellectual debates for which the newly-elected deputy chairman must give opportunity and impetus.
The CM said the chairman,Basavaraja Horatti has lot of experience and it must be added with creativity to work together and take everyone into confidence.Since the Legislature is in final stages a lot of issues will come up and it must be handled carefully.
