Trio held by Banashankari police for forging documents to sell cars on loan

The Banashankari police on Friday arrested a gang of three involved in forging documents to sell cars on loan.

The racket was busted based on a complaint filed by one of the vehicle owner stating that someone had forged the his car registration number in Tumakaru RTO office.

Following the trail,the police arrested Prabhakar,40, Prakash,33,and Kiran, 44.

The police recovered seven cars worth Rs.90 lakh from the accused.

DCP,South Division,Krishnakant P,told reporters that the accused would buy the cars which are on loans from the owners and forged the NOCs and Hypothecation cancellation letters from the finance firms and banks concerned and sell it to the gullible customers .

The accused have also forged the registration number of the cars to sell it and get registered in different RTOs across the state.

The accused have not only cheated the banks but also cheated gullible customers he added.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,CH Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP West,Sandeep Patil,DCP South,P Krishnakant,ACP, KV Srinivas,PI, Girish Nayak,PSI,Santhosh Udachan,and crime staff as,Ganesh,Sathish,Nagappa,Praveen,Yellapa,and others has been appreciated for the exemplary and excellent work done by them in nabbing the trio and recovering the Stolen cars and other valuables a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
