T he Wilson garden police on Tuesday arrested a 55-year-old quack among the three people who posing as Ayurvedic doctor cheated a businessman with Rs.8 lakh promised to treatment.
The accused used to move around the temples and public places befriend the senior citizens and refer the name of “ best Ayurvedic “doctor not non invasive and painless therapies .
Senior officer told reporters,The accused had met father of Pankaj Rathod,a businessman residing in Shantinagar and referred him to Dr.Mallik as the best Ayurvedic doctor in town to treat his aged and ailing wife having infection and swelling in the leg.
The accused when contacted promised to cure the infection and taken Rs.8 lakh and escaped .
Based on the complaint, I the police track down Dr, Mallik whose original name was Mohammed Sameen from Rajasthan,along with his relatives Saif,25 and Mohammed Rais, 55.
The accused was running a roadside clinic in Nelamangala offering Ayuverdic and fake medicine to the people for chronic illness . The police recovered Rs.3.5 lakh,four cars and three bikes from the accused and remanded them to judicial custody.
