Abhijit Ray, Kolkata;Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s dream project ‘Government at the Door’ became the best of the best in the country. This project won the best title on Saturday. Bengal Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya received the memento and certificate as platinum award from President Draupadi Murmu at Vigyan Bhavan, Delhi. In this context, she said, Bengal got this highest recognitionagain..After receiving the award, Chandrima Bhattacharya said that Duare government project has set a precedent under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. It has set a precedent in the country by providing services to the citizens of the state through digital platforms. And so, the center honored this project with platinum award as it is worthy.Chandrima Bhattacharya, highlighting the success of ‘door government’, said, “This service was started on December 1, 2020 under the leadership of the Chief Minister. A total of 3 lakh 80 thousand camps were built in different cities of the state in five phases. Where the number of visitors is about 9 crores. A total of 7.8 crore applications were submitted. Out of which it has been possible to deliver services to 6 crore 70 lakh people. The numbers cannot be denied. So no matter how much the opposition criticizes the project, the Center itself has honored us.”Targeting the Bengal BJP, the finance minister of the state also said, “Mamata Banerjee has shown that the government itself can go to the door of the people. But the opposition had a negative attitude towards this project from the beginning. How many kinds of sarcasm have been done. Sarkar is also said to be at Yama’s door. But this award proves how successful we are. All I can say is, they don’t think about people, so people don’t stay with them.” India’s various states highly praised this project. The list also includes BJP-ruled states. Chandrima said with pride. However, BJP spokesperson Shamik Bhattacharya claims that the Center has honored the project.
