Govt Committed to developing of peetas-CM Bommai

The state government is committed to developing of the peetas,said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Speaking after inaugurating the new building of mass feeding hall of Basaveshwara Vidyavardhak Sangha here on Friday,he said though the pontiff is still young but he has the power to achieve big things.

This shrine is striving for development and everyone must stand by it.The Kambi Mantap and Kalyana Mantap are the first steps towards development.

Sri Shaila Mallikarjun will bless for the construction of a school and a hospital.The state government has already sanctioned Rs.5 crore in the State budget and more funds will be sanctioned in the coming budget.

At no point of time the ongoing works must not stop. “I will promise that I will visit all the peetas”.

The CM said the seers if all five peetas are on the tour to show the good path to the people and it must be adopted by them to upgrade their lives.

Sri Shaila Shrine has a rich history and it has the maximum number of followers and dharma is propagated in this place which is created by Sri Chennamallikarjuna.

Today they were seeing the confluence of the shivasharanas of the 12th century.This Peeta is closely associated with Allamaprabhu,Akkamahadevi and Devara Dasimaiah.

Bommai expressed his regrets over the confrontation in the name of religion and said a religion which is supposed to bind the people has become the root cause for confrontation.Terrorism in the name of religion is a matter of concern.

It is quite scary to promote violence, rape and other bad things by lacing it with religion and telling people of going to heaven by doing such things in the name of religion.Such mindset must be changed and this can be done only by the seers.
