Two thieves held,14 Remote Radio Unit boxes worth Rs.11 lakhs recovered

The Kengeri police have arrested two people and recovered 14 remote Radio Unit boxes worth Rs.11 lakh which they had stolen from mobile towers in and around the city .

The accused have been identified as Deepak Rao Pawar,22 of Challaghatta in Kengeri and John Pinto,20, of Kumbalagodu.

Senior officer told reporters that the accused used to move around the areas to identify the mobile towers and steal RRU boxes .

Due to this many mobile towers are not been able to transmit signals and causing huge technical issues to the service providers .

Based on one of the complaint received the police , track down the accused and arrested them.

The Kengeri police recovered the units from their house which the accused were searching for the customers to sell.

Finally Bengaluru Police Commissioner,CH Pratap Reddy has appreciated Addl CP West,Sandeep Patil, DCP West,Laxman B Nimbargi,ACP,Parameshwara HS,PI,HB Sanjeev Gowda,PSI,Ms.Ambika,and crime staff as,Manjunath N,Vinod,Apsar S,and Hanumanthappa has been appreciated for the exemplary and excellent work done by them in nabbing the duo and recovered stolen mobile tower RRU boxes a suitable reward will be given to whole team he added.
