The Kamakshipalya police on Wednesday arrested a 21-year-old waiter of a bar and restaurant for attempting to break open an ATM situated near to his workplace to steal money.
Based on the complaint from the bank staff that someone attempted to steal money and damaged the ATM,the police verified the CCTV footage and arrested Karichittappa K from his home town in Maraluru circle in Tumakuru.
The accused was working in a bar and restaurant in Kamakshipalya and hatched a plan to become rich overtime by stealing money from ATMs.
The Kamakshipalya police have taken him into custody to ascertain his criminal background.
