INS Vagir can be deployed in the middle of the sea and very close to the shores. It is one of the most advanced indigenously built submarines. It was unveiled in November 2020. From that date to February 2022, various tests including weapons and sonar were conducted in the sea. INS Vagir is the fastest submarine built in India in the past. It sets an example of improving self-reliance in India.
