Abhijit Ray fromKolkata:Allegation of gang-rape of a housewife in a moving train in the conspiracy of TTE itself. The victim claims that she was gang-raped after she was unconscious by drinking drug-laced water. Questions are being raised about the safety of AC coach of Link Express in Uttar Pradesh. The police arrested the TTE based on the complaint of the victim. A search is on for the rest.On January 16, the woman was standing at the station with her two-and-a-half-year-old son. At that time, he met that TTE Raju Singh. The housewife already knew the same TTE. The victim claimed that TTE asked her to sit in an AC coach of theLink Express. Accordingly, she got up in the train and after some time, the TTE came to her and had rquested her to eat food. But the housewife did not want to eat but drink water from the TTE .It is alleged that she became unconscious after drinking the water provided by TTE. The housewife further claims that TTE gang-raped her on that occasion. It is alleged that even though the victim regained consciousness, she could not scream at that time. The victim also claimed that she was threatened not to tell anyone about the gang-rape.The victim reached the destination the next day. However, she did not tell anyone about the gang rape. Then the housewife reached home on January 20 and explained the whole incident to her husband. They complained to the railway helpline. Accordingly, the investigation got started. Railway Superintendent of Police Aparna Gupta quickly recorded the victim’s statement. The investigation began. Railway police raided TTE’s house. He was also arrested. A search is on for the rest of the accused.A physical examination of the victim was conducted. However, the rape report is yet to be received. Investigators are awaiting the report. As a result of this despicable act of TTE, the safety of women in normally moving trains is being questioned.
