massive frenzy was reported and created Commotion on the busy City Market Junction prevailed for sometime when a man hanging a wall clock around his neck,carrying a bag stopped his scooter in the middle of the busy flyover and threw currency notes down causing traffic disruption.
The accused has been identified as,Arun K a YouTuber and Anchor by profession.
Senior officer told reporters People cheered and gathered to pick up Rs.10 currency notes while the man was picking up wades of notes from the bag and throwing on the crowd gathered below the flyover.
Traffic movement on the flyover was jammed for sometime as motorists surprised by this stopped to watch him causing traffic disruption.
Meanwhile Assistant Head Constable,Sunil Kumar,who was on patrolling duty,rushed to the spot and tried to nab him,but the accused managed to sped away on his scooter.Sunil Kumar chased him but he managed to give the police team a slip.
Sunil Kumar alerted the control room and filed a complaint with the City market police who swung into action and managed to identify the accused and track him down at his office in Nagarabhavi.
The accused has been identified as Arun K,works as event manager and also blogger, during investigation Arun told the police that he has recently launched the blog and wanted to get maximum subscription and followers .
He thought a trick to grab media attention and decided to shower currency.As per the plan he picked up the currency notes worth around Rs.3,000 of Rs.10 denomination which he was collecting and carried on his scooter .
The police have taken Arun into custody charging him under section 283 (obstruction to public way of navigation ),section 290 ( public nuisance ) and also under various sections of KP Act.
The police have taken him into custody to ascertain the reason behind this he added.
