o one needs to worry as Khadi has a bright future.The coming budget will give its due importance to the working class.
Since jobs are created in rural areas by Khadi & Gramodyog Sangha a special importance will be given to this sector along with the financial assistance, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking after inaugurating the national level Khadi & Gramodyog Exhibition here on Thursday,he said Mahatma Gandhi had given lot of impostor khadi and the western clothes as part of the Swarajya.
At that time the first ones to respond to the use of the swadeshi cloth was Khadi Gramodyogis,weavers who manufactured the cloth in a big scale and gave it to the country.
The large quantity of the cloth must not be manufactured in factories but by huge people so that everyone will get job.Now,after agriculture it is the Khadi and Gramodyog Sangha have given the maximum jobs.
Bommai said the Khadi has received a setback due to the advent of technology.The more use of polyester cloth has affected the khadi industry.
However now there has been lot of changes and enthnic cloth are in great demand.Of late there is great demand for Khadi clothes and organic food.
The companies like Amazon and Flipkart have shown interest to buy the khadi items. Arrangements will be made to send products directly from the manufacturers to online companies.
The Khadi and Gramodyog Sangha must change the design according to the changing times.I will take all steps to give economic strength to Khadi and Gramodyog Sangha.
I will respond to your appeal to give clearence to Rs.74 crore and Rs.5 crore to save its big assets at various places.
